How your support makes a difference

Your generosity helps us continue our life‑changing research and support services:

£22 could fund a home visit from one of our Support Team, offering practical help to someone personally affected by meningitis.

£50 could provide an hour of counselling, giving emotional support when it’s needed most.

£200 could enable a family to attend one of our local Family Days, connecting with others who understand their experience.

Meningitis Now is a registered charity in England and Wales number 803016 and Scotland number SC037790

ABOUT MENINGITIS NOW

Meningitis Now is the first meningitis patient group in the world, are the founders of the global meningitis movement, and the only charity in the UK dedicated solely to fighting this devastating disease. For over 40 years, we’ve led the charge against meningitis—investing more than £12.7 million in early‑stage research that has helped pave the way for five life‑saving vaccines.

Every day in the UK, 22 people are still affected by meningitis. It can strike anyone, at any time, often without warning, and it changes lives forever. Our vision is simple but ambitious: a future where no one in the UK loses their life to meningitis, and everyone affected receives the support they need to rebuild their lives.

As the UK’s leading meningitis support and after‑care charity, we’re here to save lives, rebuild futures, and fund the vital research that will one day make meningitis a thing of the past. Our work spans:

  • Supporting families living with the impact of meningitis

  • Raising awareness to drive earlier diagnosis and faster treatment

  • Investing in research and education to prevent more cases and improve outcomes

But we can’t do this alone. With the help of our supporters, we will continue to save lives, rebuild futures, and keep going until the fight is won.
